Catania is the perfect city to run, even during the holidays, allows you to leave from the city centre and just 2 km to the sea. If you want to stay in the city centre the Bellini Garden "la Villa" is the perfect place to do sport in the middle of secular trees. By car you can reach Mount Etna for a concentration of adventure in the middle of naturalistic landscapes.

The Bellini Garden "la Villa" of Catania allows you to run inside the city of Catania in a park that hosts several paths for sports lovers, equipment for free body training, or simply relax among secular trees. Inside the park you will also find a play area for children.
Piazza Europa (2 km from Central Apartments®)
Start from Central Apartments® Caronda Street or Central Apartments ® Caronda Mezzanine and in a few km see the first sea view of the city of Catania by crossing the fountain dei reluctantly in Piazza Giovanni Verga and Corso Italia you will find yourself in Piazza Europa, where you can decide whether to go back or have a coffee in one of the different bars.
Piazza Mancini Battaglia (5km from Central Apartments®)
Continuing your ride to Catania after Piazza Europa and passing San Giovanni Licuti (with its only artificial beach formed by the black earth of Etna) you will arrive in Piazza Mancini Battaglia where there are the fish shops of Ognina (the fishermen's quarter of Catania) that allow you to have lunch with fish dishes and the renowned "Quaranta" bar-pastry shop.
Aci Castello (10km from Central Apartments®)
The most trained runners will be able to continue running along the sea of the Catania cliff, arriving at the Castle which rises on the promontory made up of underwater lava flows dating back 500,000 years.
Aci Trezza (13km from Central Apartments®)
If you train for the marathon you can do a long marathon of over 25 km (between round trip) and visit Aci Trezza in the province of Catania, with its beautiful stacks that inspired Homer's Odyssey representing the stones thrown by the cyclops Polyphemus narrated in the famous work. The islands also served as a frame in Giovanni Verga's novel "I Malavoglia".

To go from the city centre to a race in the middle of the woods, all you need to do is drive or take a bus to Mount Etna and cross dozens of trails dedicated to the Trial or you can come on purpose to compete in the numerous races such as the Supermarathon, Etna Trail or K1.
